1. Lactation Oatmeal
Ingredients:
1 cup rolled oats
2 cups water or milk (dairy or non-dairy)
1 tablespoon ground flaxseed
1 tablespoon brewer’s yeast
1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
1/2 cup berries or chopped fruit
1/4 cup chopped nuts (e.g., almonds or walnuts)
Instructions:
Combine oats and water/milk in a pot and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat and simmer until oats are cooked.
Stir in ground flaxseed, brewer’s yeast, and honey/maple syrup.
Top with berries and nuts before serving.
2. Fenugreek and Fennel Tea
Ingredients:
1 teaspoon fenugreek seeds
1 teaspoon fennel seeds
2 cups water
Honey or lemon (optional)
Instructions:
Boil water and add fenugreek and fennel seeds.
Simmer for 10-15 minutes.
Strain and add honey or lemon to taste.
Drink 1-2 cups per day.
3. Garlic and Spinach Soup
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 onion, chopped
6 cups fresh spinach, washed and chopped
4 cups vegetable or chicken broth
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Heat olive oil in a pot over medium heat.
Add garlic and onion, and sauté until softened.
Add spinach and cook until wilted.
Pour in broth and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
Season with salt and pepper before serving.
4. Almond and Date Smoothie
Ingredients:
1 cup almond milk
5-6 pitted dates
1 banana
1 tablespoon almond butter
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Ice cubes (optional)
Instructions:
Combine all ingredients in a blender.
Blend until smooth.
Serve immediately.
5. Chickpea Salad
Ingredients:
1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
1 cucumber, chopped
1 bell pepper, chopped
1/4 cup chopped parsley
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
In a large bowl, combine chickpeas, cucumber, bell pepper, and parsley.
Drizzle with olive oil and lemon juice.
Season with salt and pepper, then toss to combine.
